Beskidzkie

Beer Description

Beskidzkie (also known as Beskidzkie Specjalne) is a regional pale lager from Żywiec Brewery in southern Poland, named after the Beskidy mountain range that surrounds the town of Żywiec. The Żywiec brewery reactivated the Beskidzkie brand in 1960 alongside Marcowe and other regional brands. The Żywiec brewery was founded in 1856 by Archduke Albrecht Friedrich Habsburg and became part of the Heineken group in 1994 when Heineken acquired a 25% stake, eventually increasing to near-full ownership. Beskidzkie is a locally-oriented brand celebrating the mountain heritage of the Żywiec valley region in the Silesian Beskid mountains — an area renowned for its pure mountain water sources which contribute to the distinctive character of all Żywiec beers.
