DB Draught

DB Draught is New Zealand's original draught beer — brewed since the pioneering days of DB Breweries in the 1930s when Sir Henry Kelliher and W. Joseph Coutts founded Dominion Breweries in Auckland. Described as the real flavour and great taste that has quenched the thirst of Kiwi blokes since the 1930s, DB Draught has a crystal-clear copper gold colour with a malty and slightly nutty flavour balancing mild, aromatic hop aromas and clean bitterness. The beer is very smooth with a long finish and hints of caramel flavours in the aftertaste. It is brewed at the Waitemata Brewery in Otahuhu, Auckland — the original home of DB Breweries. DB Draught gave its name to the DB Draught Brewery in Washdyke, Timaru — formerly known as the Mainland Brewery — which was renamed in 2012 in honour of the brand's significance in the South Island. Heineken became the ultimate parent of DB Breweries through the APB acquisition in 2012.
