Devassa emerged in Brazil as a modern beer brand associated with Rio de Janeiro’s lively drinking culture and later became part of the Brasil Kirin portfolio. Heineken became connected to Devassa through the 2017 acquisition of Brasil Kirin, bringing the brand into its Brazilian brewing operations.
