Haldengut
Beer Description
Haldengut is a Swiss pale lager brand with origins in Winterthur dating back to 1843. The Haldengut brewery merged with Calanda Bräu in 1989 to form Calanda Haldengut. In 1993 Heineken acquired a majority stake in Calanda Haldengut and took full ownership by 1999. After the Heineken acquisition, brewing of Haldengut was moved from Winterthur to the Calanda brewery in Chur. Today it is produced by Heineken Switzerland AG. It holds a modest 2.7% national market share in Switzerland alongside Calanda.
