Kaiser is a Brazilian beer brand launched on 22 April 1982 in Divinópolis, Minas Gerais by Luiz Otávio Possas Gonçalves. In the 1990s Kaiser became famous through its Baixinho da Kaiser marketing campaign with actor José Valien. Since 2010 the brand has been owned by Heineken Brasil. Kaiser Pilsner (Kaiser standard) is a German Pilsner-style lager brewed at Cervejaria Kaiser in Jacareí, SP. It became one of Brazil's best-known beer brands before losing market share to Brahma and Skol in the 2000s.
