Kalik

Beer Description

Kalik was designed by Heineken International in 1988 following market research into the Bahamian beer market, which at the time was dominated by Beck's. It is brewed by Commonwealth Brewery Limited in Nassau — a Heineken subsidiary — which also produces Heineken, Guinness, and Vitamalt locally. The name derives from the 'kalik, kalikin' kalik' sound of cowbells played during Junkanoo, the Bahamas' national festival. Kalik controls over 50% of the Bahamian beer market and has won four Gold Medals from the Monde Selection. Packaged in distinctive clear bottles.
