Linzer Bier Weizen

Beer Description

Linzer Bier Weizen is a pale Hefeweizen brewed at the Linzer Brauerei in the Tabakfabrik Linz — a modern craft brewery established in 2022 in the historic former tobacco factory of Linz, Austria. The Linzer Bier brand was revived by Brau Union Österreich (Heineken Austria) to restore a brewing tradition in Upper Austria's capital that had ended in 1981. The Weizen is brewed at 5.2% ABV using regional Mühlviertel hops and Upper Austrian winter barley. It is one of the five core Linzer Bier varieties available at the brewery's own Bräuwirtshaus 'Zur Liesl', which was voted Oberösterreich Bierlokal des Jahres 2023.
