Linzer Bier Zwickl

Beer Description

Linzer Bier Zwickl is an unfiltered Kellerbier-style lager brewed directly at the Linzer Brauerei in the Tabakfabrik Linz — one of the three core varieties brewed on site alongside the Pale Ale and Edelstahl. At 4.9% ABV it is the lightest of the three Tabakfabrik-brewed beers. Naturally hazy from unfiltered yeast, it is brewed with 100% Mühlviertel hops and Upper Austrian winter barley. Described as 'mild und süffig' (mild and drinkable) with a fresh, slightly malty note and fine hop character. The Linzer Zwickl is also available in the famous 'Big Liesl' 2-litre format at the brewery's Bräuwirtshaus 'Zur Liesl'. The Zwickl is particularly well-regarded — it carries more Untappd ratings than any other Linzer Bier variant.
