Louny Ležák
Beer Description
Pivovar Louny was a historic Schwarzenberg brewery in Louny, North Bohemia, founded in 1892 by Prince Adolf Josef of Schwarzenberg on a brewing tradition dating to 1250. In 2008 Heineken Czech Republic acquired Pivovar Louny via the purchase of Drinks Union. In January 2010 Heineken definitively closed the Louny brewery — production moved to Velké Březno — and the brewery was converted to a distribution centre. Controlled liquidation of Pivovar Louny a.s. began in 2013. The Louny brand continues to be brewed at other Heineken Czech Republic facilities and is exported to 40+ countries alongside Krušovice and Zlatopramen.
