Nathan Beer

Beer Description

Nathan Beer was a specialty brand produced at the Surabaya brewery following the installation of the "Nathan System" in the late 1920s. This system allowed for "closed" fermentation, which protected the beer from tropical contaminants and drastically reduced brewing time while maintaining high quality. It was a key competitor to European imports before Heineken consolidated the portfolio.
