N’Tay
N'Tay is a pale blonde lager produced by Bralima at its Lubumbashi brewery in the Katanga region of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Its name means 'Eagle' in Swahili — a deliberate expression of ambition, elevation and the aspiration to rise above. The beer was developed as a regional brand rooted in the Katanga identity, targeting a younger, urban Congolese consumer. In August 2025 Bralima unveiled a complete visual identity redesign for N'Tay, described as a cultural statement celebrating Congolese elegance while embracing modernity — the label becoming an emblem of ambitious Katangais youth. Bralima, founded in Kinshasa in 1923, has been part of the Heineken family since Heineken acquired a majority stake. In 2026 Heineken sold its majority stake in Bralima to ELNA Holdings Ltd as part of its asset-light EverGreen strategy, ending direct Heineken ownership. N'Tay continues under the new ownership structure but exits the Heineken portfolio with the sale.
