Oedipus Mama

Oedipus Mama is a pale ale from the Oedipus Brewery in Amsterdam Noord — described as a citrus hoppy, bitter and fresh pale ale at 5% ABV. The name continues the Oedipus mythological theme that runs through the brewery's entire range — each beer name referencing a character or concept from the ancient Greek tragedy while celebrating modern Amsterdam's progressive, inclusive culture. Mama is one of the core range beers that established Oedipus as Amsterdam's most creative craft brewery alongside the flagship Mannenliefde. Brewed in Amsterdam since 2015 when the brewery opened its own taproom, it entered the Heineken portfolio through the 2019 minority stake acquisition and became fully Heineken-owned in June 2023.
