Paulaner Weißbier Kristallklar (Crystal Clear Wheat Beer) is the filtered variant of Paulaner's wheat beer range, produced by Paulaner Brauerei in Munich. Unlike the classic Hefe-Weißbier which retains yeast for natural cloudiness, the Kristallklar is filtered to produce a brilliantly clear, sparkling appearance. It retains the characteristic wheat beer flavour profile — banana, citrus and gentle spice — but with a crisper, cleaner finish. Paulaner is owned by the Schörghuber Group (70%) and Heineken International (30%) through the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe GmbH & Co. KGaA.
