Schleppe No. 5 Porter

Beer Description

Schleppe No. 5 Porter is the fifth entry in Schleppe's numbered specialty range, first documented in December 2016. English Porter is a rare sight in Austrian brewing, making Schleppe's interpretation a genuinely distinctive entry in the Heineken-connected portfolio. At 5.5% ABV and 28 IBU, it delivers the classic roasted malt character of the English porter tradition — dark brown in colour with a smooth, chocolate and coffee-tinged body and a clean roasted finish. Brewed as a specialty at Schleppe's Klagenfurt site, it reflects the brewery's post-2001 commitment to craft-focused specialty beers that look beyond the Austrian lager mainstream.
