Solyanaya Pristan

Beer Description

Solyanaya Pristan (Russian: Соляная Пристань, meaning 'Salt Wharf') is a regional Russian lager produced by the Shikhan Brewery in Sterlitamak, Republic of Bashkortostan. The Shikhan Brewery was acquired by Heineken in August 2004 as part of the Central European Brewing Company (CEBCO) acquisition, along with the Volga Brewery. At the time of acquisition, Shikhan had a production capacity of 1.4 million hectolitres and a 24% market share in the Bashkortostan republic. Solyanaya Pristan was one of three brands produced by Shikhan alongside Shikhan and Sedoy Ural. The name references the historic salt trade wharves on the Belaya River in the Bashkortostan region. Heineken sold its Russian business in 2022 following the invasion of Ukraine, ending its involvement with the brand.
