Texels Noorderwiend

Texels Noorderwiend — Dutch for north wind — is the winter seasonal speciality beer of the Texelse Bierbrouwerij. The beer was formerly known as Winterbier before being renamed Noorderwiend to better reflect the island atmosphere and the Tessels dialect identity that the brewery embraces across its entire range. Named after the powerful cold north wind that sweeps across the flat landscape of Texel in the winter months — carrying the raw power of the North Sea. A warming seasonal beer designed for the darker months of the year. Acquired by Heineken in November 2020.
