Zipfer Märzen

Beer Description

Zipfer Märzen is the amber Märzen-style lager from Brauerei Zipf, produced at the brewery's Neukirchen an der Vöckla site in Upper Austria. At 5.0% ABV it delivers the classic Märzen character — malt-forward with a hop-accented bitterness and crisp carbonation that is characteristic of the Zipfer house style. The Zipfer brand joined Brau Union Österreich in 1970 and became part of the Heineken family in 2003. Like all Zipfer beers, it is brewed with natural regional hops — 90% sourced from local Upper Austrian suppliers. The Märzen sits alongside the Urtyp as one of the core expressions of the Zipfer portfolio, offering a richer, slightly fuller alternative to the flagship pale lager for those who prefer the traditional Austrian amber style.
