Zipfer Urtyp Medium
Zipfer Medium — also known as Zipfer Urtyp Medium — is the low-alcohol variant of the flagship Zipfer Urtyp, delivering the same clean hop-forward character of the house style at a significantly reduced 3.0% ABV. It was developed as part of the Zipfer range expansion following the brewery's merger with Brau Union in 1970, responding to growing demand for lighter beer options without sacrificing the distinct Zipfer hop character. Like the full-strength Urtyp, it is brewed with natural regional hops sourced predominantly from Upper Austrian suppliers. Part of the Heineken-connected portfolio since the 2003 Brau Union acquisition, it represents the brewery's commitment to offering the Zipfer experience across a range of drinking occasions and preferences.
