Affligem Patersvat

Beer Description

Affligem Patersvat (Father's Vat) is a specialized variant of the flagship Affligem Blond that utilizes a late-hopping technique with fresh hop cones added at the end of the boil to maximize floral and citrus aromatics. Like all official Affligem abbey beers, it undergoes a crucial secondary fermentation in the bottle, adding natural carbonation and depth through a two-week maturation in warm cellars. While Heineken produces the beer, the Abbey of Affligem (founded 1074) still holds the trademark and oversees quality to ensure the monks' "Felix Concordia" spirit remains in the brew
