KeymasterRoadmap
Stage 1: The Basics
For the first step, you will be doing some very basic crafting and exploration, as well as settling into a home, at least temporarily. Most of these trophies can be earned in a matter of minutes.
Open your inventory.
Punch a tree until the block of wood pops out.
Craft a workbench with four blocks of wooden planks.
Use planks and sticks to make a pickaxe.
Construct a furnace out of eight cobblestone blocks.
Use planks and sticks to make a hoe.
Construct a better pickaxe.
Use planks and sticks to make a sword.
Attack and destroy a monster.
Harvest some leather.
Construct one type of each tool (one pickaxe, one spade, one axe and one hoe).
Cook and eat a pork chop.
Craft and place a sign.
Stop starvation using Rotten Flesh.
Use Shears to obtain wool from a sheep.Stage 2: Settling in
This step can really mix in with the first step, as none of these trophies are very difficult or time consuming to unlock. You will be doing some slightly more advanced crafting, exploring, and building your primary home.
Smelt an iron ingot.
Turn wheat into bread.
Bake a cake using wheat, sugar, milk and eggs!
Catch and cook a fish!
Construct a Dispenser.
Acquire diamonds with your iron tools.
Construct an Enchantment Table.
Build some bookshelves to improve your enchantment table.
Breed two cows with wheat.
Kill a creeper with arrows.
Craft and place a Flower Pot.
Smelt wood trunks using charcoal to make more charcoal.
Wear a full suit of Iron armour.Stage 3: The Nether
After obtaining a lot of the easy and more basic trophies, you will need to craft your nether portal and enter the Nether, an alternate dimension. There aren’t many trophies here, and the Nether is a dangerous place. Don’t go in here without some strong weapons and healing items, as you will need them.
Construct a Nether Portal.
Destroy a Ghast with a fireball.
Relieve a Blaze of its rod.Stage 4: The End?
Your next step will be to find your end portal, enter the end, and fight the game’s final boss, the Enderdragon. The game will still continue even after beating the dragon, so you can fight him as soon as you feel ready (so its not the end of the game, hence the question mark). The Enderdragon isn’t easy to beat, so refer to
The End for more information about this final battle.Stage 5: Trophy Cleanup
The next to last step in obtaining this platinum will be to wrap up the remaining miscellaneous trophies. You may already have earned some of these trophies, but chances are that some will have yet to be unlocked. You will probably be spending a lot of this step in the tutorial world, as many of these trophies are far easier to earn there.
Travel by minecart to a point at least 500m in a single direction from where you started.
Use a saddle to ride a pig, then have the pig get hurt from fall damage while riding it.
Befriend five wolves.
Kill a skeleton with an arrow from more than 50 meters.
Brew a potion.
Deal nine hearts of damage in a single hit.
Discover 17 of 40 biomes.
Throw diamonds at another player.
Mine or purchase 30 Emeralds.
Gather all 16 colours of wool.
Swim in lava while having the Fire Resistance effect.
Mine 1,728 Cobblestone and place it in a chest.
Play a music disc in a Jukebox.
Create an Iron Golem.
Cure a zombie villager.
Gain the trust of an Ocelot.Stage 6: Passing Lots of Time
The final step in obtaining the platinum will be to play for 100 in game days. Refer to this specific trophy for more information and strategies for obtaining it. Once you have played for 100 days, you should have the platinum. As a point of reference, it took me just under 50 in game days to get all the other trophies, so you may be killing a ton of time.
All trophies have been awarded.
Play for 100 days.Tips & Strategies
- Minecraft is a game based around building cool creations, mining valuable resources, exploring the massive open worlds, killing enemies, hunting, farming, and so much more. The game has no true story, as everything done in the game is up to the player.
- Trophies can ONLY be earned in Survival mode, so you shouldn’t be playing creative if you are only going for trophies. However, it is highly suggested that you also experience creative mode, as you can build some incredible things in that mode.
- Trophies CAN be earned in the tutorial mode, and can also be earned on peaceful difficulty. However, not all trophies can be earned on peaceful, as some will require you to kill various enemies in different ways, and enemies sometimes drop items required to earn other trophies (such as ender pearls dropped by endermen that are necessary to activate an end portal)
- It is highly suggested that you try to earn as many trophies as you can in your main world and use the tutorial world to get some of the more difficult or otherwise time consuming ones (such as
The Haggler). - All trophies can be earned in co-op, which can be played by up to four people online or in split screen. It is highly suggested that you head over to the Gaming Sessions on this website to find some partners if you don’t have any, as co-op is a lot of fun and makes some of the trophies much easier.
- If you have the PS3 or PSVita version of Minecraft, you can import one world (at a time) from one of those versions. On the older versions of the game, select your world and upload it to a cloud save. Once it is saved (only one can be in the cloud at any given time), simply load up the PS4 version and hit
on the world select menu to download your world. This can be extremely helpful for some of the tougher trophies, as well as the two related to the end.
- Despite the cloud save ability, there is no trophy autopopping in this game, so you have to earn all 51 trophies by actually playing.
- Videos may sometimes be either achievement or PS3 videos, as the PS4 version is relatively new and not as many trophy videos have been made for it. However, the requirements and strategies for every trophy are the same as they are for achievements or the PS3 trophies, so don’t worry.
- There is a form of XP in this game; every time you kill an enemy, breed an animal, or sometimes when you smelt an item, you will get some XP. XP appears as little glowing green balls and can be used to enchant items.
- If you die in Minecraft, you will lose all your XP and any items you were carrying, and you will respawn in the last bed you slept in. If you can get back to where you died, you will be able to pick up everything you dropped (aside from XP). However, if you die again before reaching what you dropped, it will disappear forever.
- Take a look at The Minecraft Wiki as it explains the mechanics of the game in far greater detail than could ever be explained on this one guide. It is a very reliable source to use while playing Minecraft.

Hot Topic
Construct a furnace out of eight cobblestone blocks.75.60%
Common
UnmissableCobblestone can be mined either by hand or by using a pickaxe, the latter of which is significantly faster. Cobblestone is a very common item usually found just a few blocks underground. Once you mine eight cobblestone, go to your crafting table and select the furnace to build one. Furnaces are used to smelt various items such as ingots or cook food items. There are a few different types of fuel and most of them will smelt different numbers of items. The most commonly used items are listed below:
- Wood planks and wood blocks, which will provide 15 seconds of fuel each (enough to smelt up to 1.5 items)
- Coal and charcoal, which will each smelt up to 8 items
- Saplings (dropped from trees after you destroy the tree trunks) and sticks, which will smelt half an item each
- Buckets of lava, which will smelt up to 100 items
Acquire Hardware
Smelt an iron ingot.68.32%
Common
Unmissable
Iron Ore In order to smelt an iron ingot, you must first locate iron ore. Iron ore is found underground or in caves but is far more common than gold, diamonds, or other valuable materials. Iron ore blocks are generally found in groups of two, four, eight, or ten, and can be found fairly close to the surface. Iron must be mined with a stone pickaxe or better. Once you have mined at least one block of iron ore, simply place it in a furnace to smelt it into an ingot.
Pictured on the right is what an iron ore block looks like.
Time to Farm!
Use planks and sticks to make a hoe.59.05%
Common
UnmissableCollect two sticks and two planks of wood, then build your hoe on the tools/weapons section of the crafting menu. Hoes are used to prepare the ground for planting crops.
Bake Bread
Turn wheat into bread.48.56%
Uncommon
Unmissable
Wheat To get wheat, you have to plant wheat seeds and wait for it to grow. To get wheat seeds, you can either destroy patches of grass, or occasionally the seeds will pop out of the ground when you hoe it.
To plant the seeds, hoe a row of dirt (make sure there is water on at least one side of the row so the crops will grow), then plant them by hitting
over the hoed ground while holding the seeds. Now, wait until they turn a yellow/brown color with brown tips sticking out on the top, then break it down with
. Finally, take three wheat to a crafting table, scroll to the food tab, and click on the bread icon to make bread. Attached to the right side is an image of what wheat looks like when it is fully grown.
The Lie
Bake a cake using wheat, sugar, milk and eggs!28.53%
Uncommon
You will need four different items to bake a cake: sugar, wheat, milk, and eggs. You will need three buckets of milk, two pieces of sugar, three pieces of wheat, and one egg to bake this treat. Sugar is made from sugarcane; simply collect a few pieces of sugarcane and go to the food menu of the crafting table to create sugar. Eggs are laid by chickens, and they will drop an egg every 5-10 minutes. Milk is a bit more complicated, as you must first make three buckets, each of which requires three iron ingots. Once you have your buckets, go to a cow and pressto milk it. You can usually get more than one bucket of milk per cow, so you shouldn’t need more than two cows to get three buckets of milk. Finally, combine all of these materials in the food section of the crafting table to finish your cake.
Getting an Upgrade
Construct a better pickaxe.76.47%
Common
UnmissableTo make a better pickaxe, combine three cobblestone, iron ingots, gold ingots, or diamonds with two sticks at a crafting table. You can craft the other pickaxes by scrolling down on the pickaxe icon in the crafting menu.
Delicious Fish
Catch and cook a fish!38.40%
Uncommon
Fishing can be an effective method of getting food, as there is an unlimited number of fish, though the fishing rods necessary to catch them will deteriorate over time. To create a fishing rod, you will need to combine three sticks and two strings (generally obtained by killing spiders). Once you create the rod, simply go to a pond, river, or other source of water and start fishing. When the bobber goes under the water, hitto pull it back with a fish. Once you catch the fish, simply cook it in a furnace to earn the trophy.
On A Rail
Travel by minecart to a point at least 500m in a single direction from where you started.20.29%
Uncommon
GrindThis trophy will require you to collect a ton of resources; at least 200 iron ingots, 20 gold ingots, 40 sticks, and 34 redstone. You will then need to create your rails and redstone torches for the powered rails, which are all made under the rail tab of the crafting table menu (except for torches, which are found under the mechanisms tab). Once you have made at least 500 pieces of rail, you will want to lay them out in a fairly straight line, as the 500m=500 blocks in one direction. The track can have curves, climb over hills, and go underground, but doing any of these means that you will need more than 500 rails. Desert biomes are generally good for building a straight track, as there isn’t a whole lot that will get in your way. You could also build the track over water if your world has a lot of oceans, though this will require that you have plenty of blocks to build the track on. It is suggested that you put down one powered rail after every 30 standard rails, as this will help you keep track of your progress, and will only require 17 powered rails and redstone torches. Each powered rail will require a redstone torch to be placed next to it. Once your track goes for at least 500 blocks in one direction, ride the track and you will get the trophy.
Alternatively, you can join someone else’s game if they have the required length of track and ride it in their world to get the trophy.
Time to Strike!
Use planks and sticks to make a sword.71.01%
Common
UnmissableThe sword is arguably the easiest weapon/tool to craft, as it only requires two wood planks and one stick to build. The swords are found in the tool/weapon section of the crafting menu. Swords are used to attack enemies and destroy cobwebs in caves.
Monster Hunter
Attack and destroy a monster.79.40%
Common
UnmissableThere are many different enemies (referred to as mobs or monsters) that can be found in Minecraft. The game world is divided into three areas: the overworld, nether, and the end, each with its own set of enemies. Many enemies only appear at night or in caves, though some can appear anywhere.Overworld
- Zombies: Slow moving and only attacks at close range, but has higher health than many of the otherworld enemies. When killed, they can drop feathers, rotten flesh, potatoes, or carrots. Can only spawn at night or in dark places and will die in sunlight.
- Skeletons: Attacks with a bow by shooting arrows at you. Despite using a bow, he will still attack even when he is right next to you. They can drop bones, arrows, and occasionally a bow. They can also ride on spiders. Just like zombies, they can only spawn at night or in dark places and die in sunlight.
- Spiders: Very fast moving and can climb just about anything, but doesn’t do a lot of damage and has low health. Can drop spider eyes and strings when killed. Can spawn during the day or at night but won’t attack unless provoked during the day.
- Cave spiders: Smaller than normal spiders and only found near spawners underground. They are distinguished by their smaller size and blue/green/black appearence.
- Creepers: Odd looking green creatures that explode when they get near you. If you get away from them fast enough, they won’t explode. They can drop gunpowder. Can spawn at any time of the day and are always hostile.
- Endermen: A very dangerous enemy that resembles Slenderman (tall, black, and purple eyes). They steal blocks from your world and will attack if you look them in the eye. They can teleport away and do a lot of damage per hit. They also have a lot of health. They can drop ender pearls when killed. Can only spawn at night or in caves and don’t usually spawn near water.
- Wolves: Only attack if you attack them first, and can be tamed with bones. Very low health but fast and agile.
- Slime: Slow, weak, and only found in caves. They really don’t do anything, but drop slime balls when killed, and split into smaller units when attacked.
- Silverfish: Tiny, silver colored enemies that only appear in strongholds, generally near the end portal. Very low health and attack damage but fast and a bit tough to hit.
Nether
- Zombie pigmen: Only attack if you attack them first, and attack in packs. They have similar health to zombies but can deal more damage. They can drop all sorts of items when killed.
- Ghasts: Resemble giant white blocks with tentacles and a face, and they fly around the nether shooting fireballs at you. They can only be damaged with arrows or by re-directing their fireballs with a sword. Their fireballs have a nasty tendency to destroy the ground in the Nether, especially netherrack, which stays on fire unless you put it out.
- Blazes: Fast moving, float, and attack with very damaging fire. Can drop blaze rods when killed. Only spawn from blaze spawners but can float very far away.
- Magma cube: Basically the same as a standard slime.
The End
- Enderdragon: The final boss of the game. See
The End. for information about this boss fight. - Endermen appear here as well
Cow Tipper
Harvest some leather.78.82%
Common
UnmissableLeather is found by killing cows. Not every cow you kill will drop leather, but the majority of them will. Leather can be used to make armor and is also required to make books.
When Pigs Fly
Use a saddle to ride a pig, then have the pig get hurt from fall damage while riding it.18.97%
Rare
To get this trophy, you will need a saddle, a carrot on a stick, and a pig, preferably placed in a precarious location. Saddles are best found by searching temples and strongholds underground, though you can occasionally get one by fishing. Once you have a saddle, you will need to make the carrot on a stick. The fishing rod requires three sticks and two strings, then combine that with a carrot to make a carrot on a stick.Once you make it, find a pig and trap it in a small area. It is suggested that you make a 2×2 area for the pig to stay in, and then dig a very deep hole (like 15 blocks deep) right next to one of the walls. Now, put the saddle on the pig and mount it. Finally, destroy the wall, then lead the pig to the hole in the ground using the carrot on a stick and fall down the hole. The pig may die but you will earn the trophy. As seen in the video, this trophy can also be earned quite easily in the tutorial world.
When Pigs Fly Video Guide
Leader Of The Pack
Befriend five wolves.26.83%
Uncommon
Though this trophy was buggy in the PS3 version, it seems to have been fixed in this version. To befriend a wolf, you have to feed it bones. Each bone has a 1 in 3 chance to tame the wolf, so it could take quite a few to be successful. You will know when the wolf is tamed because a red collar will appear around it’s neck. Tame five wolves in one world and this trophy is yours.
MOAR Tools
Construct one type of each tool (one pickaxe, one spade, one axe and one hoe).63.23%
Common
UnmissableEach of the four main tools are easy to construct, and wooden tools count for this trophy, so it can be earned very quickly. Constructing the pickaxe and the hoe are already described in the descriptions for
Time to Mine! and
Time to Farm!, so the only things that will be listed here are the requirements to build a spade (shovel) and axe.
The wooden spade requires one wood plank and two sticks, and is used to dig up snow, dirt, and gravel faster than by hand. Unless you need to dig a lot of dirt or sand quickly for a creaton, you probably won’t be using the spade much.
The wooden axe requires three wood planks and two sticks, and is used to gather wood more quickly. It can be used on trees, wood planks, and even chests or bookshelves. This tool can be very useful for collecting a lot of wood in a short amount of time, so it isn’t a bad idea to construct more of these if your map has a lot of trees.
Dispense With This
Construct a Dispenser.23.72%
Uncommon

Redstone Dispensers are made by combining seven cobblestone, one bow (the bow can’t be damaged), and one redstone. Dispensers are basically used for traps, as you can put arrows or other items into them and trigger the dispenser to fire the item. Also, redstone is mined underground or in caves, but it is a lot more common than gold and diamonds, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding some. On the right side is a picture attached that shows what restone looks like when mining undergrond, and they will actually light up for a few seconds when struck.
Into The Nether
Construct a Nether Portal.34.53%
Uncommon
In order to construct a nether portal, you will need at least 12 obsidian blocks. Obsidian is a dark, black block that is formed when water is placed on lava. It sometimes forms naturally in caves, but you can make it by manually pouring a bucket of water onto lava. Once you have your nether portal built, you will need to ignite it to access the nether, which is done by striking the inside of the portal with a flint and steel (made by combining flint and an iron ingot). Though the portal is technically supposed to be built four blocks wide and five blocks high (16 total), the corners aren’t required. If you want to make the portal without having to mine any obsidian, you will need at least 12 buckets filled with lava and one bucket of water. As the video will show, you need to basically create one obsidian block at a time by creating a dirt or cobblestone mold around where each obsidian block will be made. Then, pour a bucket of lava into the mold and flood the lava with your bucket of water. If done correctly, you will create an obsidian block, and you can collect the water again.

Sniper Duel
Kill a skeleton with an arrow from more than 50 meters.15.37%
Rare
BuggyThis one can be very annoying, and is buggy as well. First, you will need to create a small building that you can trap a skeleton in; just make it about five blocks wide, four blocks long, and three or four blocks high, but leave the front area open. Then, measure out a distance of 50 or more blocks (it is suggested going at least 55 away so you can guarantee that you are far enough away) and mark the location. Now, find a skeleton and lead it into the house, and then close the front of it up, leaving only a block or two open so that you can see the skeleton. Once he is trapped, kill him with a bow from your predetermined location and you should get the trophy. The reason that this trophy is buggy is because mobs tend to de-spawn (disappear) if you get too far away, and that may happen to your skeleton. Because of this, it isn’t a bad idea to have a second player stand next to the house to keep the skeleton from de-spawning.
The video shows an alternative strategy in which one player acts as bait to keep a skeleton in a small area while the other player stands at least 50 blocks away and keeps firing arrows.

DIAMONDS!
Acquire diamonds with your iron tools.55.45%
Common
Diamonds are a very rare item that can only be mined deep underground. Generally, the best way to find diamonds is to dig all the way down to the bedrock (with a staircase or ladder to help you get back to the surface), then dig back up 5-15 blocks and search those layers for diamonds. You can also search the lower levels of caves to try and find diamonds, but this can be more dangerous. It is also suggested that you bring along a lot of torches so you can see. Finally, you will need an iron pickaxe or better to mine diamonds; an iron pickaxe is made the same way as a stone pickaxe but uses three iron ingots in place of the cobblestone.Alternatively, you can join a friend’s world, have him place a diamond block (which requires nine diamonds to make), and mine that block with an iron pickaxe. This will still get you the trophy, but this method is much easier and faster if you can get someone to help you.
Return to Sender
Destroy a Ghast with a fireball.22.77%
Uncommon
This trophy can be challenging, as ghasts often attack in groups, and their fire is quite damaging. In order to get this trophy, you must kill a ghast by redirecting fireball(s) at it. Fireballs can be redirected by hand or with a tool, though the sword arguably works better for most people. Once you find a ghast (in the nether), just keep attacking the fireballs (by holding down or rapidly pressing) until you manage to hit one back at the ghast. Once the ghast dies, you will get your trophy.

Into Fire
Relieve a Blaze of its rod.30.15%
Uncommon
This trophy requires you to kill at least one blaze until one drops a blaze rod. Blazes are tough enemies that are found near spawners in the nether, and they can take quite a few hits to kill. Once you manage to collect a blaze rod from a dead blaze (you can die after picking it up), you will get the trophy.

Uncommon
See
Stayin’ Frosty for information on how to get both trophies very quickly in the tutorial world.
The End?
Enter an End Portal.17.11%
Rare
The end portal of your world is the entrance to the End, where you will fight the Enderdragon. In order to find the portal, you must first craft at least 12 eyes of ender, each of which is made from an ender pearl and a blaze powder. You can make two blaze powder from each blaze rod, and the ender pearls are sometimes dropped from Endermen.Once you have 12 eyes of ender, save the game, quit, and write down the seed for your world (the really long number you will see when you choose your world). Next, create a new world in creative and copy the seed you wrote down into the new world, and you will enter the world in creative. You CAN’T just switch your world to creative, as that will prevent you from obtaining any more trophies in that world. Then, start throwing eyes of ender into the air (you will have an infinite number of them in creative mode). Every time you throw one, it will fly up, shake, and either fall to the ground or disintegrate. Eventually, it will stop flying upward and go into the ground, indicating that you are above a stronghold. Strongholds are filled with enemies, chests, and a lot of iron doors.
Now, you will need to explore the stronghold to find the end portal. This is what it looks like.

The portal can be anywhere in the stronghold, so you may be exploring for a long time in order to find it. Once you do find it, write down the coordinates of the portal as given on a map, then go back into your survival world and head to the portal. Insert your 12 eyes of ender into the 12 slots (a couple may spawn already filled) and the portal will become accessible. Once you jump in, you will be teleported to the End, and will earn the trophy.
The End.
Kill the Enderdragon.16.26%
Rare
Once you jump into the end portal, you will have to fight the final boss; the Enderdragon. Make sure to go in with a lot of healing items, diamond armor, an iron or better pickaxe, a bow, a sword, and as many arrows as you can. He can do a lot of damage on every attack and can even insta-kill you, even when wearing diamond armor.First, you will want to climb the towers in the area and destroy the crystals on top, as they will heal the Enderdragon. Now, you will have to kill the dragon. He will fly around shooting fire balls at you, and he will sometimes land on the unfinished exit portal to spew acid at you. When he lands, you can hit him with a sword, but you will generally be attacking him with a bow and arrows. No matter what weapon you use, you need to enchant it first so that it will do more damage. It is highly suggested that you bring along some friends to help out with this fight, as four people using bows will do a lot more damage than one person using a bow. Eventually, you will kill the dragon, get a ton of XP, and open the exit portal. Once you jump through the portal and watch (or skip) the credits, you will earn the trophy.
If you don’t want to go through the process of finding the portal and killing the Enderdragon, there is an alternative method. If you have a friend that has already killed the dragon, you can go into that person’s world, jump through the end portal, and then just jump into the exit portal to earn both this trophy and
The End? with minimal difficulty. Head over to the Gaming Sessions page to find a willing partner.
The End (Solo Fight) Video Guide
Enchanter
Construct an Enchantment Table.29.68%
Uncommon
Enchantment tables are used to give your armor and tools special powers, such as higher damage or better durability. They are improved by placing bookshelves nearby. An enchantment table requires one book, two diamonds, and four obsidian to make. Books and bookshelves have already been discussed in the description of the trophy
Librarian, as well as diamonds under
DIAMONDS!. However, obsidian can be very difficult to collect, as it can only be broken with a diamond pickaxe, which requires three diamonds and two sticks to create. Obsidian is made by pouring water onto lava, so It is suggested that you carry a couple buckets of water into the lower levels of a cave to make obsidian if you can’t find any that has formed naturally. Once you have all of these building materials, combine them at a crafting table to earn the trophy.
Overkill
Deal nine hearts of damage in a single hit.18.82%
Rare
This is the first of the PS4 exclusive trophies that was added in for the PS4 version. You will need a sword with the enchantment “Smite V” to do this. This trophy is best completed in the tutorial world, which the way to go about doing it can be seen in the video below. Once you have the sword, wait until night and kill a skeleton with a strike from your sword to get the trophy. This doesn’t seem to work on zombies or creepers, so to be safe go ahead and do it on a skeleton.

Librarian
Build some bookshelves to improve your enchantment table.33.07%
Uncommon
Bookshelves are a bit more complicated to make, as they require six wood planks and three books. Making books can be a bit annoying, as they require three sheets of paper and one leather each to make. Paper is made from sugarcane, which you can often find growing on sand near large bodies of water. Once you collect nine sugarcane, you can use the crafting table to make nine sheets of paper. Now, harvest three leather by killing cows, then construct your three books. Finally, combine the books and the wood planks to create a bookshelf. Bookshelves are used to improve enchanting tables, allowing access to better enchantments.Alternatively, if you stumble across a bookshelf in a village or stronghold (or the tutorial world), you can break the bookshelf and make another using the books it drops. This will also earn the trophy.

Discover 17 of 40 biomes.37.32%
Uncommon
Biomes are basically different areas of the world that have different features. Most people can only think of nine, but many are actually split into multiple smaller biomes. Finding 17 different biomes will require a lot of time spent exploring, as well as a bit of luck as to whether or not at least 17 spawn in your world, though it is believed that this trophy carries over between worlds. Listed below are all 23 biomes as well as provide a video explaining them in greater detail. Different players call the biomes different things, so you may hear a slightly different list depending on what site or video you view. All 23 biomes are listed as follows:
- Frozen river (a river with ice on top)
- Ice plains (somewhat flat and covered in snow)
- Cold taiga (basically ice plains covered in trees)
- Cold taiga M (cold taiga with mountains in the area)
- Cold beach (a beach with ice on the water and snow on or near the sand)
- Extreme hills (has a lot of big hills/mountains)
- The End
- Plains (grassy plains)
- Forest (plains with a lot of trees growing on them)
- Swamp (low trees and a lot of water and mushrooms)

Breed two cows with wheat.39.69%
Uncommon
UnmissableTo unlock this trophy, you will need two cows and at least two wheat (see
Bake Bread for information on how to grow wheat). Now, simply hit while holding the wheat in front of each cow, and they will enter love mode before producing a baby. Once the baby is born, you will get the trophy.
Diamonds to you!
Throw diamonds at another player.36.88%
Uncommon
Online Co‑Op Offline Co‑Op 2 ControllersThis is the only trophy in the game that REQUIRES another player. This can be done in online co-op, or in split screen offline co-op. All you need to do is throw a few diamonds at the other player and you will get the trophy. The main challenge with this trophy is obtaining diamonds, so refer to
DIAMONDS! for more information about mining these rare gems.
Pork Chop
Cook and eat a pork chop.64.68%
Common
UnmissableTo get this trophy, simply kill a couple of pigs (until one drops a raw porkchop), then cook it in a furnace and eat it. Most pigs drop pork chops, so this should unlock quite easily.
Passing the Time
Play for 100 days.30.04%
Uncommon
GrindThis is the big grind trophy for Minecraft PS4. Don’t worry, you don’t have to play on 100 different real life days, you just have to play through 100 in game days. 100 days equates to about 33 hours of real life time, as each day lasts around 20 minutes. In order to speed this up, it is suggested that you sleep each night, as that will cut the time in half. Alternatively, you can just enjoy this incredible game and keep playing it for many hours, sleeping when you please, and you will eventually earn this trophy. There is one other method for this trophy. Simply load up your world on peaceful difficulty, then find a safe location (either your house or a small hole in the ground lit by a torch). Once you are in that safe place, leave your PS4 on for about 33 hours straight and the trophy will unlock. It is not suggested that you do this for 33 hours straight though, as your PS4 could overheat and shut down. So be warned if this is the way you choose to do it!
Now, one thing that is not sure is if this can be unlocked by spreading out your hours over multiple worlds. Just to be safe, it is suggested that you try to get all 100 days on one world, so that you won’t end up wasting a lot of your time by playing in another world.
Archer
Kill a creeper with arrows.32.82%
Uncommon
First, you will need to make a bow, which requires three sticks and three strings to craft, though skeletons will drop one about 2.5% of the time after they are killed. Once you have a bow, you will need to craft some arrows, each of which requires one flint, stick, and feather to make. You can collect feathers by killing chickens, and they are occasionally dropped by zombies upon death. Flint can be found by mining gravel, though it only has a 10% chance of popping out when the gravel is mined. Arrows are also commonly dropped by skeletons.Once you have a bow and some arrows, find a creeper wandering around your world and kill it with the bow and arrows to get the trophy. It will usually take about three arrows to kill the creeper.
The Haggler
Mine or purchase 30 Emeralds.17.81%
Rare
Emeralds are a very rare type of gem that is mined deep underground. You can also obtain emeralds by trading with villagers. However, it seems that villages are a lot less common on the PS4 version than the PS3 version, so you will likely have to mine for them. Fortunately, if you don’t want to spend hours of time mining in caves for rare emeralds, there is an alternative method that can be done in the tutorial world.- Walk up the main entrance in the tutorial world, then walk up to the fountain and head right where you’ll find a building with a villager inside that will trade with you
- Pick up the 60 paper in the chest nearby.
- Disable autosave.
- Save manually.
- Exit the world without saving.
- Re-enter the tutorial world and disable autosave again.
- Trade the 60 paper for two emeralds.
- Exit without saving.
- Repeat steps 6-8 until you get the trophy.
Alternatively, you can enchant an iron pickaxe with the silk touch enchantment and just keep mining/placing an emerald block in a cave until you get the trophy.

Pot Planter
Craft and place a Flower Pot.23.95%
Uncommon
Flower pots are crafted using three clay bricks, each of which requires a piece of clay to be smelted in a furnace. Clay blocks drop four pieces of clay and are usually found in shallow water. Once you have your three pieces of clay, turn them into clay bricks and then combine the bricks at a crafting table to earn this trophy.
It’s a Sign!
Craft and place a sign.41.86%
Uncommon
UnmissableSigns are crafted from six wood planks and one stick, and you can write short messages on them. Simply combine the items at a crafting table and place the sign to earn the trophy.
Iron Belly
Stop starvation using Rotten Flesh.26.91%
Uncommon
This trophy can be a bit annoying, as you have to starve yourself while in possession of rotten flesh. To obtain rotten flesh, you will need to kill zombies; rotten flesh is a common drop. Once you have a couple pieces of it, you will need to let your hunger meter empty. You can wait it out, but it is suggested that you start sprinting to drain it much faster. You can sprint by double tapping thestick forward (in quick succession). It takes a bit of practice to make the sprint command work every time, but it makes you starve much faster. Once you start to lose health from starvation, consume a piece or two of rotten flesh and the trophy should unlock. Be aware that eating rotten flesh will often produce unwanted side effects that can hurt you.
Note: this must be done on easy difficulty or higher so that you have a hunger meter.
Have a Shearful Day
Use Shears to obtain wool from a sheep.41.11%
Uncommon
UnmissableShears are made from two iron ingots, and can be used to obtain larger amounts of wool from sheep, as well as to mine leaves to create leaf blocks, and a few other uses. They are crafted in the tools/weapons section of the crafting table. Once you have shears, find a sheep and hitto shear it and earn the trophy. Wool is needed to make beds, so it is a crucial material.
Rainbow Collection
Gather all 16 colours of wool.17.25%
Rare
There are 16 total colors of wool in the game, and most have to be created by crafting various dyes and combining them with white wool. You will need a lot of different materials to make these 16 different types of wool- 16 white wool
- three inc sacs (found by killing squids)
- three red flowers
- one yellow flower
- three cactuses (found in desert biomes)
- one cocoa beans cluster (found on jungle trees or in chests in caves)
- five lapis lazuil (a fairly rare blue block found underground that is broken down into lapis lazuli pieces)
- six bonemeal
White wool is the first color, and a couple others can be sheared off of differently colored sheep, but most have to be crafted. This video explains the process in much greater detail.

Stayin’ Frosty
Swim in lava while having the Fire Resistance effect.24.50%
Uncommon
In order to get this trophy, you will need to brew a fire resistance potion (which will unlock the trophy
Local Brewery), and then go swim in lava. To brew this potion, you will need a glass bottle (filled with water), a nether wart, and a magma cream, as well as a brewing stand.
While you can try to do this in one of your worlds, this trophy is best earned in the tutorial world. Simply go to the alchemy area, grab the bottles, warts, and cream from the chest, and fill the bottle with water. Then, place the filled bottle in the brewing stand and brew it with a nether wart. Once that is complete, brew the newly created awkward potion with a magma cream to create a potion of fire resistance. Now, walk across the massive stone bridge towards the castle and then go into the castle mineshaft until you get to an area with lava by a Nether Portal. Now drink the potion with
, and jump in the lava. You may have to destroy a piece or two of cobblestone to reach the lava. Everything is covered in greater detail in the video below for what you’re supposed to do in tutorial world.
It should be noted that the video below also shows you how to make some iron armor in the tutorial world in you’re interested in obtaining
Irom Man easily.

Chestful of Cobblestone
Mine 1,728 Cobblestone and place it in a chest.25.73%
Uncommon
GrindThough this trophy isn’t difficult, mining 1728 cobblestone will take quite a while. It is advised that whenever you go to explore a cave or a new area of the map, mine as much cobblestone as you can, then start placing it in a chest whenever you return to your home. Even if you only get 100 or so per trip, just keep saving up until you have managed to place 1728 in a chest. As said previously, this may take a while, but isn’t difficult due to how common cobblestone is, so just keep at it and you should get it without much trouble.
Renewable Energy
Smelt wood trunks using charcoal to make more charcoal.33.63%
Uncommon
Charcoal is an alternative to coal that is made by smelting a wood block (not a plank, an actual block that you get directly from destroying a tree) with any fuel source. Once you have made charcoal, use it as the fuel and place another wood block (once again, not the planks made from blocks) in the furnace to be smelted. That will make more charcoal, and unlock the trophy. To be clear, this trophy is not talking about smelting a wooden chest with charcoal; by trunk it means a tree trunk. The video below provides an easy way to obtain this trophy in the tutorial world.

Music to my Ears
Play a music disc in a Jukebox.35.01%
Uncommon
To get this trophy, you must have access to a jukebox, as well as a music disc. The jukebox is easy to create, as it only requires one diamond and eight wood planks to craft. The difficulty comes in finding a music disc, as it is a very rare item. They spawn in 8% of underground/cave dungeon chests, and can also be dropped if a creeper is killed by a skeleton’s arrows.Because of the rarity of music discs, it is recommended that you go for this trophy in the tutorial world, as you will be able to find a music disc and a jukebox in the chest right in front of the fountain. Once you have the disc, place the jukebox down and put the music disc in it (with
) to unlock the trophy.
Body Guard
Create an Iron Golem.25.39%
Uncommon
Iron golems basically serve as bodyguards, as they will wander around your home and attack any enemies that come near them. However, iron golems require four iron blocks (a total of 36 iron ingots) as well as a pumpkin to create. Once there, create a “T-shape” with the iton blocks and simply destroy a pumpkin and place it on top of the iron blocks to get this trophy. There is a very easy way to do this in the tutorial where the four iron blocks are already created for you to break and take, as seen in the video below.

Iron Man
Wear a full suit of Iron armour.55.91%
Common
UnmissableTo create a full suit of iron armor, you will need 24 iron ingots (five for the helmet, eight for the chestplate, seven for the leggings, and four for the boots). Once you have the required materials, head to a crafting table and scroll over to the armor tab. Once you make all four pieces of armor, equip them from your inventory and the trophy should pop. Iron is fairly common, so it shouldn’t take long to mine the necessary materials. It should be noted that
Stayin’ Frosty has a video guide which includes how to make a full suit of Iron armor very easily in the tutorial world.
Zombie Doctor
Cure a zombie villager.14.70%
Rare
This is one of the toughest trophies in the game, as you have to craft quite a few items to cure the villager, and then you have to find one. First, you will need to craft a brewing stand, which is built from three cobblestone and a blaze rod (refer to
Into Fire for information about obtaining blaze rods). Once the brewing stand is built, you will need to create a glass bottle (combine three glass blocks to make three bottles) and fill at least one with water. Next, create a fermented spider eye by combining a brown mushroom, sugar, and a spider eye. Brew that in a brewing stand with a bottle of water, then brew gunpowder in the mixture. This will create a splash potion of weakness. Then, make a golden apple by combining an apple and eight golden nuggets (you will get nine nuggets from one gold ingot). Once you have the potion and golden apple, you will have to find a zombie villager.
Zombie villagers comprise 5% of all zombie spawns, so they are quite rare (they look like standard villagers but green like zombies). If you can’t seem to find one, then it is suggested that you change the difficulty to hard and leading a zombie into a village. On hard, when a villager is killed by a zombie, he will turn into a zombie villager. Once you find a villager, throw the splash potion of weakness onto him, wait a few seconds, and feed him a golden apple. If done correctly, you will cure the villager and get the trophy.

Lion Hunter
Gain the trust of an Ocelot.18.27%
Rare
Ocelots can be tricky to tame, as they will often run away from you when you get close. What you will want to do is go to a jungle biome until you find an ocelot, and make sure that you have a few raw fish. Get within about 15 blocks of the ocelot and then stand still. It should come toward you. When it gets near you, hitover the ocelot while holding a fish and it will become a cat and be tamed. This can also be done in the tutorial world, as there are fish next to the dock and two ocelots in a pen near the other animals.
